If a wound component has failed or degraded to such a degree where reliability cannot be guaranteed we will carry out a rewind to that component. Connection and winding configurations are logged and the wound cores are heated in our ovens in preparation for coil extraction. Following extraction, removal of insulation materials and inspection the cores are ready for rewind, we insulated our cores and windings with high quality insulation materials suited to the machines requirements. Following completion the newly wound components are subjected to a series of tests on our SKF Baker advanced winding analyser.
Components can then be impregnated via a double dip and cure or if superior resin and impregnation performance is required the wound component might undergo Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) and rotary cure or cure in our vacuum oven, ventilated machines or exposed wound components an additional winding overcoat is selected and applied offering further protection from environmental contaminants.
If re-machining or manufacture of new components is required this is carried out off site by a trusted precision machinist and fabricator
